Release notes 0.17.0

Another new release of Webtestit is out!
We introduced some new features, improvements and fixes that are listed below.
As always, the whole Webtestit team is looking forward to your feedback!

IDE-Features:

  • Removed unused variable error for TS projects – you won’t be getting the annoying error indicators for unused variables in TypeScript projects anymore! This rule is automatically set not to display the error in the tsconfig.json file located in the project tree, line 13.

If you want to change this rule, just set the desired value (“true” / “false”) on line 13 and reload the project.

  • Introduced linter support for TypeScript – with this feature you now have a the tslint service implemented for your project, pointing out and highlighting possible errors in the code, and making sure that you are using best typescript code practices for your tests!

You can modify your linter settings in the file tslint.json. Make sure to restart the project to affect changes

  • Context sensitive help indicators - You will notice help indicators on various panels of the application. Those links provide help content, tutorials and best practises for using Webtestit and creating awesome automated tests! As new features are introduced, we will introduce help indicators with relevant informations so that you have no headaches using our software and making the best out of it !

  • Editor Font size - Increase or decrease the editor font size with font zoom feature. To do so, press the F1 key which will open the Quick Command window and search for “Editor Font Zoom

  • Element screenshots - now you can open the screenshot file in a new window by clicking on it directly from the code. Also you can use context menu to open the screenshot in your default editor or open the containing folder.
