With this release, we have reached an important milestone for Webtestit.
We are happy to announce a large number of new features and bugfixes, including the support for a new language, TypeScript together with Protractor as the project template.
Since there have been a lot of changes also related to Java, please make sure to start off with a fresh new project and copy over your existing Page Objects and Tests.
Since the project templates changed, please make sure to restore templates, which will copy them over to your global user folder.
The whole Webtestit team is looking forward to your feedback.
- IDE Features:
- Improved Intellisense performance
- Improved typing performance in project settings
- Collapsible details during project setup
- Drag and Drop elements into the Code Editor
With this release you can now drag elements from the elements pane, directly into your code. Dropping them below the
Generated Actions comment will ask you for what type of action you want to create and create the method afterwards. If you drop an element inside an action, it will create the next actions step.
This new workflow allows you to focus more on your code, but will still update the Page Object panel. Take a look at the short demo animation below for the complete workflow.
You should receive the new version automatically via the auto-updater once you restart the app.
