Reporting with Webtestit version 0.25.0

XPath and CSS syntax validation shall be available in element definition window .
Syntactically incorrect values shall be highlighted in red.

As a user I would like Webtestit to validate the syntax of the XPaths and CSSs added in ELEMENT panel.

Hi @janesh!
As far as the validation goes, you can perform that on the Ranorex Selocity extension itself! If you for example enter a CSS selector it will get recognised. So you can easily send the fine tuned selector form the extension to the app. Currently we do not support syntax validation in the element panel, but I will let the team know and keep you updated. So If I understood correctly, the idea is, when you add a selector manually, it should auto-detect the selector strategy or just highlight the wrong selector (CSS if Xpath is selected)?
Kind regards
